In more recent years, a local event, the Ariègoise has generated enormous enthusiasm from all quarters. First run in 1995 with 455 participants the event now attracts more than 4000 cyclists and involves a choice of 3 sub-events both competitive and non-competitive to suit all tastes.

Staged annually in June, and open to all, the course passes our door! The events are:

The Ariègoise, a Tour de France style stage of about 160km including a number of Cols,

The Mountagnole, a scaled down version of about 100km

La Passèjade, a pleasant non-competitive ride on flatter terrain.
